The "academy" once again proved why I don't give a flying monkey dung about their opinions. Giving "Columbine" a *documentary* oscar was just adding insult to injury.
At least Steve Martin had a sense of humor about the whole thing. "It was so sweet backstage, you should have seen it," Martin joked. "The Teamsters were helping Michael Moore into the trunk of his limo."

Beste gets on my nerves sometimes, but he's got an unusually good writeup on what we, as the Coalition of the Willing, need to be worried about right now.
All the talk about the "fierce fighting" Sunday grated on my nerves. Fierce fighting? If 10-20 combat casualties in 3 days is fierce fighting, what would they call Stalingrad? Normandy? Tarawa?
