Bias? What bias?
While catching my weekday Cable News ration today, I saw one of the clearest cases of media bias I've seen since the 96 presidential elections.
Both CNN & Fox mentioned a case of a man who has been in prison for 17 years being freed by DNA testing.
The difference? CNN played up the fact that another innocent black man had been convicted -- without mentioning, as Fox did, that he had been convicted BECAUSE HE HAD CONFESSED TO THE CRIME!. Granted the man had an alibi (he was actually in a mental hospital at the time of the crime), and I'm perfectly aware of the Kafka principle (people that "confessed" by signing a paper they didn't read or understand)... Still, that's a non-trivial factor.
